Fall Break

Kyle is coming home today for Fall Break! He will be home until Tuesday and I'm so excited. Nicholas' middle school team lost their game on Wednesday. Their record is now 3-1-1. One of Nicholas' best friends, Justice, was injured during the 4th quarter. It was scary, he was screaming and saying his neck hurt. They called the ambulance over and they were with him for about 10-15 minutes. His neck was okay but he was pointing to his collar bone area; I thought he broke it. His dad took him to the doctor when they got home, and he had torn a muscle. I hate for him to be hurt but I'd rather him have a torn muscle than a hurt neck.

Last night the high school JV team won again and are still undefeated. They beat Lake Norman Charter. Tonight is a big game, our Varsity plays Lake Norman Charter as well. Both teams are undefeated and the winner will be the conference champion. I'm excited and nervous for them at the same time. Go Mustangs!!

Wolfpack!

I got to have Kyle all to myself last night! Cassidy spent the night out, Nick went to Scarowinds and then spent the night out, so it was just me and Kyle. We went to eat at Japan and then came home to watch football. We watched NC State beat Florida State, that was such a great game! Our poor puppies were scared to death because we kept screaming at the TV. Florida State was ranked #3 and we weren't ranked at all but we have a history of beating FSU, no matter what our record is! I would have loved to be at Carter Finley Stadium for that game. As soon as the game clock hit zero, I posted on Facebook "Wolfpack!!!" and 4 other people had posted something about the game at the same time I did. That was classic. I had to go through my old photos to come up with this one but I always loved this picture. My little wolfpack...

Varsity is 8-0!! EL 40, WL 20!

Another win for East Lincoln Varsity Mustangs!!! We are 8-0!! Was a great game, final score was 40-20. Our quarterback, Garrett Young, who was injured during the 1st quarter of last week's game was on the sidelines supporting his team, and Chaz Surratt stepped in as back-up quarterback and did a great job! I love football season, we always take a crowd with us and last night was no different. Love this picture of the girls...Cassidy, Madison, Meghan and Allie.

JV is 7-0!

Our JV team is still undefeated after last night, their record is 7-0!!! We beat West Lincoln 39-26!! I was working the concession stand so I didn't get to watch the whole game but with that score, seems like it was action packed. Tonight is the Varsity game, we are playing at West Lincoln so it should be a great game. Kyle is coming home today, I'm so excited!!

Last middle school home game

Nicholas' team played hard yesterday but couldn't pull out a win. I think a lot of the players gave up when the other team kept scoring, I guess that is a hard thing to learn to do...play hard til the end! So their record is now 1-2-1, next game is against Burns next Wednesday. Nicholas was one of the captains; the picture isn't the best but he's #54.
Cassidy, Nick and I will be going to support the high school JV team against West Lincoln, they are still undefeated! How great is that? Our JV and Varsity football teams are both undefeated this far into the season!!

October already???

Hard to believe it's October already, the month of ghouls and goblins. It has been a full month since Kyle left for school and he has only been home once! We are adjusting to having one less person in the house but we miss him terribly! With all the activities that Cassidy and Nick have going on, it's hard to believe that this time last year I was keeping up with 3 schedules, how did I do it??? Kyle is thriving at Wingate, I say this because I never hear from him so that must mean he is having the time of his life. He is coming home this weekend and I'm really looking forward to seeing him. Cassidy is still cheering on the Mustangs every Friday night; we are still undefeated, with a record of 7-0. She didn't think she was busy enough so she joined Cheer Xplosion, a competition cheer team, so she added two additional nights of cheering/tumbling to her schedule. Nick has his last home football game tomorrow against North Lincoln. So far the middle school Falcons have a record of 1-1-1. We are crossing our fingers, he hasn't been injured yet, other than the normal bruises and swollen hands and elbows from getting hit with another helmet.
